As one of Vancouver's tallest and most iconic landmarks, Harbour Centre is a bustling hub of business, retail, tourism, education and history, standing proudly at the city’s downtown core.
As a haven for high-tech industries, Harbour Centre is managed by Polaris Realty Canada Limited, and embraces its past while meeting the growing needs of downtown Vancouver.
With a rich legacy as Vancouver's premier connectivity gateway, we've repurposed the historic, next-door Spencer Building to create the ultimate digital-first campus in the region.
In one of the most expensive real-estate markets in North America, Harbour Centre stands out with competitive lease pricing, supporting your long-term growth.
If there’s one thing we do well, it’s this: embracing our past while meeting the growing needs of downtown Vancouver. From the very beginning, Harbour Centre has evolved right along with the city itself.
You haven't seen Vancouver until you've seen it from the Vancouver Lookout. Embark on a 40-second glass elevator ride to our panoramic observation deck. Enjoy stunning, unobstructed views of the city's picturesque landscapes.

Since 1994, Harbour Centre has been Vancouver’s premier telecommunications gateway. Due to rising demand for state-of-the-art connectivity and colocation space, we’ve expanded operations into Spencer Building. Learn more!
Our story began in 1928 with the construction of the Spencer Building, a historic landmark that housed the Spencer Department Store, run by the Spencer family.
In 1948, Eaton’s Department Store took over before selling the store to Sears in the 1970s.
Just seven years later, in 1977, the iconic Harbour Centre, including the office tower and Vancouver Lookout and revolving restaurant, was built over and around the Spencer Building, creating a new complex full of opportunities for businesses, retail tenants, and tourists.
Sears moved out and Simon Fraser University moved in, adding a vibrant downtown university campus into the complex.
In 1994, Harbour Centre became Vancouver’s primary telecommunications hub for connectivity between Western Canada, the U.S., and the APAC region.
In 2022, we began repurposing a significant part of the Spencer Building for expanded colocation, connectivity and powered-shell data centre space.
Today, in 2024, Harbour Centre and Spencer Building Carrier Hotel are more than just a cornerstone of Vancouver’s skyline.
If there’s one thing we do well, it’s this: embracing our past while meeting the growing needs of downtown Vancouver. r.
